Day 1 focuses on the iconic scenery Wadi Rum is famous for. Day 2 is for people who want to really hike and earn big views on a remote mountain route. Day 3 slows everything down with a camel ride back to the village peaceful, traditional, and unforgettable.

Itinerary: 3 Days in Wadi Rum

Day 1 - Wadi Rum Highlights by 4x4

Your journey begins with a full-day 4x4 tour through the heart of Wadi Rum, guided by a local Bedouin driver who knows every corner of the desert. This first day is designed to introduce you to the most famous landscapes and natural formations that have made Wadi Rum one of Jordan’s most iconic destinations.

Throughout the day, you will visit sandstone mountains, red sand dunes, narrow canyons, ancient rock inscriptions, and panoramic viewpoints. There is plenty of time to stop, walk, take photographs, and enjoy the silence of the desert. Your guide will share stories about Bedouin life, local history, and the traditions of the region.

In the late afternoon, you will arrive at our desert camp in time to relax, watch the sunset, and enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars.

Day 2 - Remote South Wadi Rum + Jabal al Khash Hike

After breakfast, you travel deeper into the remote southern part of Wadi Rum—an area rarely visited by large tour groups. The landscape here is wider, quieter, and more dramatic, offering a strong sense of space and wilderness.

You will begin your guided hike on Jabal al Khash, moving through rocky passages, small valleys, and sandstone formations. The route is carefully chosen to balance adventure with safety and comfort, making it suitable for most active travelers.

As you climb higher, the views open up across vast desert plains and distant mountain ranges. From the summit area, you can enjoy one of the most impressive panoramas in Wadi Rum. After time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the scenery, you descend and return to camp.

In the evening, you can relax at the camp, share stories around the fire, and enjoy another peaceful night in the desert.

Day 3 - Camel Journey Back to Wadi Rum Village

On your final morning, you wake up to the soft light of the desert and enjoy breakfast at camp. Then you begin your traditional camel journey back to Wadi Rum Village.

Riding a camel is a slow and gentle way to experience the landscape, allowing you to fully appreciate the colors, silence, and rhythm of the desert. This journey follows ancient Bedouin routes that have been used for centuries.

The ride takes approximately two hours, and guests usually arrive back in the village between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, giving you enough time to continue your travels in Jordan.

Accommodation

During this tour, you will spend two nights at our fixed desert camp, located in a quiet and scenic area inside the Wadi Rum Protected Area. Our camp is designed to offer comfort while preserving the natural atmosphere of the desert.

The base price includes accommodation in our standard Bedouin-style tents, equipped with comfortable mattresses, blankets, and pillows. Shared bathroom facilities are available at the camp. Evenings are usually spent around the fire, sharing tea, stories, and enjoying the peaceful desert surroundings.

One of the highlights of staying at our camp is the night sky. With very little light pollution, Wadi Rum offers incredible stargazing opportunities. On clear nights, you can see thousands of stars, the Milky Way, and shooting stars.

For guests who want an even closer connection with nature, we offer the option to sleep under the stars. You will be provided with a comfortable mattress and warm blankets, and you can sleep in the open desert, surrounded by silence and fresh air. Many guests consider this to be one of the most memorable experiences of their trip to Jordan.

We also offer upgraded tents with private bathrooms for guests who prefer extra privacy and comfort. These tents include a private toilet and shower while still allowing you to enjoy the desert environment.
