What this jeep tour is (and is not)
The Little Bridge is one of the many natural rock arches you will visit on your Wadi Rum Jeep Tour.
This is not a fast jeep safari or a high-adrenaline ride.
Our Wadi Rum Jeep Tour is designed for travelers who want to experience the desert slowly and quietly. The 4x4 is used to move between places, not as the main attraction. Much of the time is spent walking, observing, and simply being in the landscape.
We stop often, sometimes without a specific plan, when a place feels right. There is no rush, no loud music, and no fixed script to follow. The route can change depending on the day, the light, and your interests.
This approach allows space for silence, for conversation, and for moments of stillness that are often missed on faster tours. It is well suited to people who value atmosphere and presence more than covering as much ground as possible.
Who this tour is suitable for
• Travelers who prefer calm and nature over speed.
• Couples, solo travelers, and small groups.
• People interested in the landscape and culture, not luxury.
• Visitors who want a personal, human experience.
If you are looking for a short, fast jeep safari with many vehicles, this tour may not be the right fit.
What you will experience in Wadi Rum
During your Wadi Rum Jeep Tour, you might see many camels in the desert. Some will be guiding tourists through Wadi Rum and others will be alone, grazing on grass as they have for millennia in the Wadi Rum area.
During the tour, we explore different parts of the Wadi Rum desert by jeep and on foot. You will see wide valleys, rock formations, sand dunes, and quiet places away from the main routes and crowds.
The jeep allows us to move between areas, but much of the experience happens at a slower pace. There is time to walk, to sit in the shade, to drink tea, and to observe small details that are often missed when moving quickly.
We pay attention to the light, the colors of the rock, and the feeling of space that changes throughout the day. The route is flexible and adapted to the day, the weather, and your interests, rather than following a fixed program.
This way of traveling allows the desert to reveal itself gradually, without pressure to see everything at once.

Practical information
On your Wadi Rum Jeep Tour, you may meet camels grazing in the desert. They are not wild, but their owners let them roam to eat the grass that grows after it rains.
• Takes place entirely within the Wadi Rum Protected Area
• Guided by a local Bedouin guide who knows the desert intimately
• 4x4 transport combined with time on foot, at a calm pace
• The rhythm of the day is adapted to you, not to a fixed schedule
• Includes an overnight stay in the desert as part of the experience
The camp is in a nice, sheltered location. The tents were comfy and clean. My friends and I stayed up late with the guides chatting with the guides about life in the desert. Overall, an unforgettable desert experience.”

This is a photo from Lawrence Spring, the first stop on our Wadi Rum Jeep Tour.
After visiting Wadi Rum with Wadi Rum Nature Tours, many of our guests sent us some photos of their time with us in the desert.
Overnight in the Wadi Rum Desert
The Wadi Rum Nature Tours camp is located deep in the Wadi Rum Protected Area, on the eastern side of Jebel Khazali.
This tour includes an overnight stay in the Wadi Rum desert.
For us, the night in the desert is not an add-on, but an essential part of the experience. When the day visitors leave, the desert becomes quiet, the light changes, and the sense of space truly emerges.
The overnight stay is simple and authentic, focused on silence, nature, and the night sky rather than comfort or luxury.
If you prefer not to stay overnight, it is possible to adapt the tour.
At the Wadi Rum Nature Tours camp, we light a fire in our central tent in the evening. Guests can relax around the fire and drink tasty Bedouin tea before feasting on a plentiful dinner made with local ingredients.
If the sky is clear and there isn’t much moonlight, you will be able to see the Milky Way like in this photo taken not far from the Wadi Rum Nature Tours camp.
Here is a photo taken by one of our guests who did our Wadi Rum Jeep Tour with Sleeping Under the Stars. Your guide will set up a campfire as the sun is setting.
Accommodation Style
Sleeping in Wadi Rum is not only about where you rest. It is an important part of why this experience stays with you.
When the light fades and the day visitors leave, the desert becomes quiet. The pace slows, the air changes, and the stars begin to appear. This is often the moment when people feel the desert most deeply.
Comfortable Desert Camp
You can spend the night in a simple and comfortable tent at our desert camp.
This option offers a balance between comfort and closeness to nature. There is a shared evening meal, a fire after sunset, and time to sit quietly before sleeping. The focus is on calm and atmosphere, not on luxury.
Sleeping Under the Stars
If you prefer something more elemental, it is also possible to sleep under the open sky.
There is no artificial light and no background noise — only the desert, the night sky, and silence. Many guests later say this is one of the most memorable nights of their entire journey.
When you choose to sleep under the stars after your Wadi Rum Jeep Tour, your guide will take you far into the Wadi Rum desert. You will sleep in the open air with a phenomenal view of the starry desert sky.

Frequently Asked Questions - Wadi Rum Jeep Tour
What time do you recommend that we arrive in Wadi Rum?
If you are arriving in the morning, we recommend that you arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 at the Wadi Rum Rest House. This way, you can spend the full day in the desert and see all of the sites without feeling rushed. However, if you would like to arrive later, we can start your tour at any time. In order to see all of the sites listed above, you should arrive five hours before the sunset.
How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts from morning until sunset. In the summer, the sunset is later, around 20:00. In the winter, the sunset can be earlier than 17:00. A nice view of the sunset is the last stop on the tour before heading to our fixed camp, or the location where you will sleep under the stars. It is also possible to arrive in the afternoon/evening, have dinner and stay overnight, and begin your Wadi Rum Jeep Tour the next morning after breakfast. In this case your tour will finish the next day at sunset. If you need to return to the village earlier, this is not a problem for us. We can bring you back to the village at whatever time you need to depart to your next destination.
Do we need to bring any sheets, towels, pillows, etc.?
No. We will provide everything that you will need for your stay with us, whether sleeping at our fixed camp or sleeping under the stars. You do not need to bring anything with you.
If you are sleeping under the stars, some people prefer to bring their own sleeping bags, but this is not required. We have everything you need to have a comfortable stay with us in the desert.
Is the tour private? will we be joined by others?
Our standard tours are not guaranteed as private. If we have groups arriving in Wadi Rum at the same time, usually we will combine the groups together into one jeep. The groups remain small. Usually, we have a maximum of six adults in one jeep. Sometimes, you will end up with a private tour simply based on the number of groups we are expected on the day you arrive in Wadi Rum, and the different arrival times.
If you are a group of four or more people, we offer a free upgrade to a fully private tour for no extra charge. If you are interested in a private tour, this is also possible. We charge a small additional fee for a guaranteed private tour for a small group. This fee depends on the season and how busy we are. If you are interested in a guaranteed private tour, let us know when you are ready to contact us and make a booking.
What is the fixed camp like? Will we share tents with other guests?
Our fixed camp has a kitchen building for the chef, a large communal tent where we serve meals and chat during the evenings, a shared bathroom with toilets and hot showers, and private tents for sleeping. Our camp is tucked into a sheltered location next to Jebel Khazali.
For sleeping, we have tents that fit two, three, and four guests. Our tents have standard western beds with plenty of heavy blankets in case it gets cold during the night. The tents for sleeping are fully private. You will not share a tent with any people that you don’t know.

Evening Arrival
We have lots of requests from guests who would like to arrive in the evening, spend the night with us, and do their tour the following day. Extra Camel Ride
Lots of our guests ask to add a short camel ride to their jeep tour. Our two most popular options are as follows:
One Hour Camel Ride
This can be done at any point during your Wadi Rum Jeep Tour. For one hour, the price is 15 JD per camel.
Ride a camel back to the village in the morning
With this option, camels will be waiting for you after breakfast to take you back to the village. This is a great option because it takes place early in the morning before it gets too hot. The journey takes around two hours and costs 30 JD per camel.
If you want to book a full-day camel trek, please check out our Wadi Rum Camel Tour - One Day and One Night.
